Last week, our Executive Director, Lilly, had the incredible opportunity to attend the Annual International Trauma Conference, surrounded by some of the world’s leading trauma researchers, authors, clinicians, filmmakers, and advocates.
It was an inspiring experience filled with groundbreaking conversations, innovative ideas, and valuable learning about the latest trauma-informed practices. From hearing directly from experts who are shaping the field to connecting with professionals dedicated to healing and hope, every moment reinforced the importance of the work we do.
Lilly returned with a wealth of knowledge, fresh perspectives, and exciting ideas to help strengthen and grow our center. As we continue our commitment to being trauma-informed, these insights will help us better serve children, families, and our community with compassion, understanding, and evidence-based approaches.
The future is bright, and we’re excited to put this knowledge into action! 💙

Our fearless leader!👏
🎉🎉🎉Last night was EPIC and pictures are coming but in the meantime meet the 2026 GAMBA WARRIOR, The Mrs. Lilly Flowers. The fighter was unanimously chosen because of her commitment as the Executive Director of The Exchange Center to standing up against violence against children and others!
In a time where predatorship and injustice is rearing its head, she and her incredible team are standing firm in opposition. We are honored to have her as this year’s Warrior Queen (GAMBA), and second seat in the Juneteenth Parade! Congratulations Lilly!!!

You are not alone!💜
You are not alone.💜
If you or someone you know has experienced domestic violence, healing is possible-and you don’t have to do it by yourself. Here at the Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention we offer weekly Women’s Domestic Violence Group Therapy sessions designed to provide a safe, supportive space for survivors to process, rebuild, and connect with others who understand. ✨
Facilitated by a licensed therapist, this group offers compassion, validation, and tools for moving forward at your own pace. For more information, see the graphic below or give us a call!💜

Today was filled with sweet moments, beautiful flowers, and even sweeter connections at our Mommy Connections: Muffins with Mom event! 💐🧁
We’re so thankful for our partnership with Support Wiregrass Hope Group as we continue creating meaningful spaces for moms to connect, laugh, and enjoy time together. Today, everyone had the opportunity to create their own flower bouquets while enjoying muffins and fellowship. 🌸
A special thank you to Ms. Connie for being a part of such a beautiful day and for generously bringing fresh flowers from her garden to share with everyone. Your kindness made today even more special! 💗

We are incredibly honored and grateful to receive a grant from the Southeast Alabama Community Foundation.
Because of their generosity, The Exchange Center for Child Abuse Prevention will be able to continue providing parenting classes and support services to the families we serve. Strengthening families and empowering parents creates safer, healthier futures for children in our community, and we are thankful to have partners who believe in this mission alongside us.
Today, Veronica, our NeuroPsych Specialist and PA Supervisor, was honored to attend the presentation on behalf of our organization. We are thankful for the opportunity to continue building stronger families and brighter futures in our community. 💙
