Between Boss’s Day and National Principals Month, we had the perfect excuse to remind Mrs. Turvin just how much she means to all of us at HCCA through some silly and sweet surprises.

Our students got in on the fun by sharing sweet messages about the difference she makes, and our faculty and staff had the best time celebrating the lady who does SO much for everyone around her!

If you know Mrs. Turvin, you know she is the one with all the answers (usually before you even ask!), a million ideas, the biggest heart, and a whole lot of determination to make things happen. She is always the first to jump in, the last to leave, and the biggest cheerleader for our students and staff. She gives so much of herself to make HCCA a special place, and we are so thankful for her!

Mrs. Turvin, we hope Friday reminded you just how loved and appreciated you are! We sure are blessed to have you leading our HCCA family!

🇺🇸 A birthday to remember! 🎉

Yesterday, Austin took the Delayed Entry Program Oath of Enlistment for the United States Coast Guard in our JROTC classroom, surrounded by current JROTC cadets. This meaningful milestone marks the beginning of an exciting journey of service and commitment. What made the day even more special was that it was also Austin’s birthday!

Congratulations, Austin, on both milestones! We are proud of you and wish you the very best as you begin this next chapter! ⚓️🇺🇸

These students raised funds through their own Champions of Hope fundraiser, and their generosity is a wonderful reminder that you are never too young to make a difference in the lives of others.
There is still time to support and participate in this year’s Champions of Hope on Saturday, October 17! Visit this link to register or learn more: https://raceroster.com/events/2026/129630/champions-of-hope-2026

Nothing but smiles at HCCA!

Our students had a little fun celebrating World Smile Day, and we couldn’t let the day go by without sharing a few of these sweet smiles. 😊

We definitely have a lot to smile about around here!❤️💙

HCCA would be a MESS without Mr. Marcus! ❤️

And we mean that quite literally.
Mr. Marcus is so much more than our custodian. He is our fix-it man, leak stopper, floor-shining expert, problem solver, and all around HCCA hero.

He is one of the first ones here, always working hard, always willing to help, and somehow still always has a smile on his face. Whether something is broken, leaking, falling apart, or just needs a little extra attention, we know exactly who to call.

But more than everything he does, we appreciate the kind of person he is. He takes care of our building, our students, and our staff like we are his family. HCCA simply would not be the same without him.

Mr. Marcus, we appreciate you more than you know! Thank you for taking such good care of all of us and for being one of the very best parts of HCCA.
Everyone needs a Mr. Marcus… you just can’t have ours!
