What an awesome time preparing for our feeding in Lumberton, NC! The hometown of our business partner, Attorney Ben Crump. We only had 4 weeks of planning time due to our schedules. We hit the ground running on May 16th…non-stop. Four days of logistics, coordination, stuffing bags, and picking up items from sponsors, including the Fort Liberty Commissary in Fayetteville, NC, US Foods Chef Store, Sams Club, and Tasty Kake Bread Store. Our success of the NC feeding would not have been possible without the support of my cousins Lorie and Randy Moore and friends Debbie and Mark Smith for delivering 1000 food items 46 miles to Lumberton, NC on that Friday and spending all afternoon helping us prepare for Sunday. In addition, Jamarcus Crump and Dee Crump delivered 200 bags to St. Mary’s Missionary Holiness Church (Mr. Crump’s family church) at 4:30PM for our second stop of the grocery giveaway, along with $3000 in gift cards. We donated a total 1000 bags of groceries and 1000 Ben Crump Calendars to the Lumberton, NC Community! Again! We could not have achieved this goal without the help of my Fayetteville, NC family and friends! The TRUE SOLDIERS that always show up and show out! From the very beginning, they said,”We’re ALL IN! And when Lorie and Randy speak, you better listen! Thank you, Lorie, Randy, Debbie, and Mark for your support! We would also like to thank the support of the Robeson County Housing Authority Director and Staff for their dedicated support in this effort to conquer food insecurity. We have been diligently working behind the scenes for the past few months to launch our highly anticipated 2024-2025 Ben Crump SPINN Feeding Initiative. And our firststop will take place in our partner’s hometown of Lumberton, NC! Attorney Ben Crump! We are so blessed to have Mr. Crump’s leadership and support in joining forces to curb food insecurity across the country. While we have been supporting small businesses by purchasing plates for single parents and the elderly, we are now taking our initiative on the road to reach more communities in need.

Since our inception in 2021, we have provided support to over 8,500 families by offering groceries, food, rental and utility vouchers, gas cards, gift cards, toiletries, clothing, sponsorship for college funding, and business mentorship. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who have donated, volunteered, shared flyers, hair stylists, make-up artists, models, clothing designers, stores & boutiques, all the generous sponsors that graciously allowed us to present our shows at their business, those who stood with us for hours distributing bags of groceries, attended our fashion week events in support of our non-profit, and those who genuinely cheered for us!!!!! Thank you all so much!!! We have so much love ❤️❤️ and appreciation for you all.

'His Name is George Floyd' wins Pulitzer Prize for best nonfiction The book “His Name is George Floyd” has won a Pulitzer Prize in best general nonfiction. The award was announced Monday. All Things Considered host Tom Crann spoke with one of the authors, Robert Samuels in May 2022.
