Employee Spotlight: Claudia Perez 📣

The Douglas Police Department is proud to recognize Claudia Perez for her exceptional service, dedication, and commitment to our department and community.

For more than 24 years, Claudia has faithfully served the department, providing support through multiple administrations and helping ensure our organization continues to operate efficiently every day.

Often working behind the scenes, Claudia plays a critical role in the daily operations of the department. From budget management and requisitions to administrative support and special projects, her professionalism, knowledge, and work ethic help keep the department running smoothly. Simply put, she is one of the people who makes the Douglas Police Department successful.

In addition to her regular duties, Claudia continuously goes above and beyond by supporting department initiatives, coordinating community blood drives, and assisting wherever needed to serve both our employees and the citizens of Douglas.

We are also proud to share that Claudia was recently recognized by the Women's Initiative Network (WIN) for her outstanding contributions and dedication to public service. This recognition highlights the positive impact she has made throughout her career and the respect she has earned from her peers and community.

While badges and patrol cars are often the most visible symbols of a police department, dedicated professionals like Claudia are the foundation that keeps everything moving forward. Her commitment, experience, and willingness to help others make a difference every single day.

This year, the Douglas Police Department is honoring Breast Cancer Awareness and Domestic Violence Awareness by illuminating with pink and purple lights. 💗💜

We invite our community to join us for our 31st Annual Domestic Violence Walk as we come together to raise awareness, show support, and stand united for those affected by domestic violence.
