Please be aware of the pending traffic pattern change for the E Maine St bridge from Oct. 26th to the 28th from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. E Main St bridge will be down to one lane. Please plan accordingly.

TRAFFIC ALERT: EAST MAIN STREET BRIDGE

Engineers working on behalf of MaineDOT will be conducting testing on the East Main Street Bridge in Dover-Foxcroft from October 26–28.

During this time, traffic will be limited to alternating one-way traffic across the bridge between approximately 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM each day.

To accommodate this traffic pattern, traffic signals at both ends of the bridge will be temporarily turned off, with flaggers directing traffic at the intersections of North & Main Street and South & Main Street.

Crews will make every effort to restore normal two-way traffic by 3:00 PM each day.

Please plan ahead, expect delays, and use caution when traveling through the area. We appreciate everyone's patience while this important testing is completed.

Good Morning!

Another low pressure system is expected to impact the area Friday into Saturday. This system will bring widespread rain of up to about 0.5 inches for most places. Additionally, Friday morning could see some snowflakes in northern areas before it changes over to rain. Less than an inch of snow accumulation is expected, with up to 2 inches in higher elevations. Any snow that does accumulate will quickly melt as temperatures warm up during the day.

As the system moves out Friday night, colder air could return changing lingering showers to snow in northern areas, though accumulation will be limited. Winds will also ramp up behind the system Friday night with gusts up to 40 mph possible on Saturday, which could result in some isolated power outages. Some light snow showers could linger into Saturday across the north.

Saturday night will feature below freezing temps for most of the area even down to the coast. Wind chills Saturday night could be in the 20s and even upper teens. Next week we will stay dry with limited rain chances. Temperatures will turn seasonable next week, with highs in the 50s and overnight temps in the 30s.
