If you couldn't be with us to celebrate 25 years of hope and resilience, and haven't yet witnessed the breathtaking 911 memorial, here's a glimpse of inspiration.

Dover will honor the 25th anniversary of 9/11 with a remembrance ceremony and the dedication of its new permanent memorial on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 11 a.m. in the Cocheco Mill Courtyard.
The event will feature a procession of police, fire, and military personnel, musical tributes, a moment of silence, remarks from city leaders, and the unveiling of the memorial—designed to honor victims, first responders, military members, and all impacted by 9/11.

The memorial holds special meaning for Dover, which lost four community members that day, and was made possible through local donations and support. Parking will be available at 47 Chestnut St., with some traffic restrictions near Central Ave. during installation and the ceremony.
