Earlier this year, I introduced Senate Bill 237 to establish a framework for a protected and structured workforce for our legislative attorneys. These dedicated public servants commit their legal careers to serving the people of New Castle County. They deserve the same commitment from us that they demonstrate to the public every day.

I was proud to see SB237 help make Ordinance 26-124 possible and to join County Executive Marcus Henry for its signing. Thank you to the many advocates who helped make this possible. This is an important step in recognizing and protecting the people who dedicate their professional lives to public service.

A wonderful evening with Rep. Griffith at the Blue Ball Barn for Friends of Wilmington Parks's Art in the Park Silent Auction & Fall Fundraiser was a reminder of how much our parks mean to our communities. With beautiful local artwork & delicious beverages from Wilmington Brew Works & Moore Brothers, it was a great way to celebrate the green spaces that bring us together, where families make memories, neighbors connect & our community grows stronger. TY to Friends of Wilmington Parks, our local artists & everyone who helps care for & protect these special places for generations to come.

Midtown Brandywine always knows how to have a good time. It was great to be back at their annual block party. I'm so lucky not to just call them neighbors, but friends as well.

It's an honor to be their state senator & it's a blast to get quality time with them like we had tonight. TY friends, looking forward to Halloween in Midtown with ya.

What a fun time at the Chapel Street Players production of POTUS, with the amazing tag line: Behind Every Great Du***ss Are Seven Women Trying to Keep Him Alive. The sharp humor + amazing cast & crew made it a laugh-along ride. All of this & it's their 92nd season. TY Pamela Huxtable for inviting me & working me into the script. I loved it.

What a blast getting to work on my acting chops as a guest speller in New Light Theatre’s production of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. 😂🐝🎭 I’m not sure Broadway is calling anytime soon, but I had a whole lot of fun trying.

What made it even more special was getting to be part of it at Delaware Theatre Company. As a former DTC Board Chair, I’ve seen firsthand what theatre can do, not just on a stage, but for a community, our economy & our culture. Theatre brings people together, tells stories that help us see one another differently & makes places like Wilmington stronger & more vibrant.

That’s exactly what Lena Mucchetti, Tom Muchetti & the entire NLT team are doing. Their mission is about more than putting on a great show: they use each production to shine a light on important causes & support organizations making a difference in our community.

This production benefited Children & Families First & the important work they do to help Delaware’s families thrive.

Congrats to everyone who brought this production to life. And TY for reminding us just how much good can happen when great theatre & a great cause share the same stage. ❤️🎭
