Last night, Sheriff Ceisler represented the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office at A Woman’s Place’s Night of Remembrance, joining survivors, advocates, and community members in honoring those lost to domestic violence.

Survivors shared their stories and spoke about the support they received from A Woman’s Place, which provides services and advocacy to women and men experiencing domestic violence across Bucks County.

The evening concluded with a candlelight vigil and a moment of silence for the seven Bucks County residents lost to domestic violence over the past year.

The Bucks County Sheriff’s Office is grateful for our partnership with A Woman’s Place, both in supporting survivors through the Protection From Abuse process and in bringing the community together to remember those lost to domestic violence. We thank them for the incredibly important work they do for survivors throughout Bucks County.

The Bucks County Sheriff's Office sent a contingent to honor fallen Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber, who died in the line of duty on 10/10/26.

We brought our newest deputies so they could grasp the weight of this profession and see how law enforcement and the community come together in times of loss.

Rest in peace, Officer Seiber, and may God bless the Seiber family.

Shop with a Cop 2026 is now accepting applications!

This year marks 11 years of Shop with a Cop bringing holiday joy to children throughout Bucks County. If you’re not familiar with the program, hundreds of local children are invited to Target for a one-of-a-kind holiday shopping experience alongside members of local law enforcement.

Many of these children have faced significant life challenges, trauma, and loss. Our goal is to bring them a little extra joy, create lasting memories, and remind them that their community cares.

If you know of a family who could benefit from this program, share this post with them and encourage them to apply! You never know how much a little kindness can mean to a child during the holiday season.

Thank you for helping us spread the word and make Shop with a Cop 2026 another unforgettable year! You can find the link to the application in the comments below.

The BCSO assisted with a safe gun handling and storage event at the Northampton Library.

The event included safety demonstrations, a discussion about the role fi****ms can play in domestic violence situations, and how local organizations and law enforcement can work together to reduce risk and connect residents with lifesaving resources.

This weekend, the Doylestown Fire Company hosted its annual Fire Safety Expo at Doylestown Central Park as part of Fire Prevention Month. Families met local first responders, watched fire safety and vehicle rescue demonstrations, and got an up-close look at a medical helicopter that landed at the park.

The Bucks County Sheriff’s Office joined the event to meet with families and print free Emergency Child IDs. Deputy Brewerton and K-9 Zeke also held a demonstration, giving visitors a look at Zeke’s explosive detection work and answering questions about how K-9 teams operate in the field.

There are still plenty of fire safety events happening throughout Bucks County this month. Check our earlier posts to find an event near you.

Families had the chance to meet their local first responders, learn about fire safety, and get an up-close look at the fire company’s emergency vehicles and collection of vintage fire trucks. Our deputies and staff spent the evening meeting families and printing free Emergency Child IDs.

The open house was one of several fire prevention events happening throughout Bucks County this month for Fire Prevention Month. Check our page for upcoming events near you and stop by to meet your local first responders.

Yesterday, Corporal Roe, Deputy Andriana, and Sheriff Ceisler joined runners, walkers, and ruckers in Doylestown for the Travis Manion Foundation’s annual 9/11 Heroes Run.

A little rain didn’t stop the community from turning out to honor the heroes of September 11 and the men and women who served our country in the years that followed. This year’s Doylestown run marked the 25th anniversary of 9/11 and included a special dedication to 1st Lt. Colby J. Umbrell, a Central Bucks East graduate who was killed while serving in Iraq in 2007.

The Travis Manion Foundation carries the spirit of service forward by supporting veterans and families of the fallen and helping them mentor and serve the next generation. We were proud to join our community in remembering those who served and sacrificed, and we look forward to seeing you there again next year.

Today marks 40 years since Bucks County Sheriff’s Deputies Thomas A. Bateman and George M. Warta Jr. lost their lives in the line of duty.

On September 22, 1986, Deputies Bateman and Warta were returning to their patrol area after completing a prisoner transport when they were killed in a traffic accident on Street Road in Warrington Township.

We continue to honor the two deputies who gave their lives in service to our community and remember the near decade of service each gave to the residents of Bucks County.

Today, we ask our community to join us in remembering Deputy Bateman and Deputy Warta, and to keep their families and former colleagues in your thoughts.
