On this day 25 years ago civilians, firefighters, police officers, and EMTs went about their morning as they did any other morning. Little did they know their morning would be turned upside down with the attack on the United States.

This morning we asked you to pause and reflect on the tragic events of September 11, 2001, remember all of those that lost their life that day from Pennsylvania to Washington DC, but most of all New York City.

Let us never forget what happened and always remember this day going forward.

This morning at 1:43 a.m., personnel with the Dresden Fire Department responded to the D&C Subdivision following a report of a possible structure fire.

Crews responded during severe weather conditions, including heavy rain, lightning, and strong winds. Upon arrival, personnel found no active fire.

After investigating the area and speaking with the homeowner, firefighters determined that a tree branch had fallen and damaged a power line serving a streetlight. WCMES responded to the scene and secured the damaged line.
