Proud to announce that I received the endorsement of the Alameda County Building & Construction Trades. I’m a longtime supporter of the trades, the skilled labor they provide, and their strong apprenticeship programs.

Finally, the H mart opens in Dublin! Popularity was enormous. People waited in line for hours and the line wrapped around the plaza buildings.

Just catching up on social media. Perhaps, I should have made separate posts to differentiate uniqueness but decided to make it a combo for emphasis. I apologize for the randomness. All events were special and important bringing an abundance of color and culture to our community.

The last couple of weeks have been busy. Throughout the city there were a number of important community events, including Lunar New Year celebrations (year of the horse), Holi celebrations (festival of colors), Iftars for the coming of Ramadan, culminating with the most recent weekend of Irish festivities for Dublin’s celebration of St. Patrick’s Day.

Enjoyed meeting many dedicated people who made these events possible, including representatives from Dublin’s sister city from Bray Ireland. (Poured a lot of Guinness and B/Ts volunteering with others for Rotary during the St. P’s Festival!) What a fabulous experience!

The important point is that Dublin’s diversity makes it a special place to live, and I’d like to keep it that way.

Hello friends! I’m Dublin City Council Member Mike McCorriston and I am proud to be running for Mayor of Dublin in the 2026 election.

My top priority is meeting Dublin’s challenges including public safety, fiscal sustainability, and affordable housing, and improved service for seniors and our neighbors with disabilities.

I will meet these challenges with the sound fiscal management and environmentally responsible strategies needed to help Dublin succeed!

Big thanks to the Muslim Cultural Society Society of Dublin for organizing a fantastic well-attended annual Iftar evening held held at Meza n’ Moka, a Mediterranean restaurant (with an Algerian flair) located in Livermore. The evening was about family and enjoying great food together.

Ramadan Mubarak to you and your family. This is a time to put aside our divisions, reflect and appreciate the value of family.

Kids Against Hunger: Had the privilege to help organize and participate with a team of dedicated fellow Rotarians in a food preparation event.

Today we packaged enough food to serve nearly ten thousand children. The food packages will be sent to the Democratic Republic of the Congo for distribution. This was a really good use of time.
