DUBLIN CHP REQUESTING ASSISTANCE REGARDING A FATAL CRASH

DUBLIN, California – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) Dublin Area is seeking assistance from the public to identify additional witnesses to a fatal crash that occurred on Friday, September 25, 2026, at approximately 12:04 PM. The crash occurred on Mountain House Road north of W. Grant Line Road, within unincorporated Alameda County.

At approximately 12:04 PM, the CHP Golden Gate Communications Center began receiving reports of a major crash involving a white 2014 Freightliner Cascadia tractor hauling two end-dump trailers and a tan 2004 Honda Civic.

A preliminary investigation revealed the Honda was traveling northbound on Mountain House Road towards the Freightliner as it traveled southbound. For an unknown reason, a broadside crash occurred within the southbound lane of traffic, and the Honda sustained catastrophic damage. Fatal injuries were sustained to a passenger of the Honda. Both drivers remained on scene and are cooperating with this investigation. Alcohol was not a factor in this investigation.

The CHP is asking for your help with any information regarding this crash. We appreciate the public’s assistance in these investigations, and often, your help can answer questions that remain unanswered.
