Nestled in the heart of the New River Valley and conveniently located near I-81 is home to one of the Nation’s top rated rehabilitation centers for quality of service. Highland Ridge Rehab Center is a state-of-the-art facility and was originally constructed in 1969 and acquired by Hill Valley Healthcare in 2019. In 2011, Highland Ridge underwent a renovation and expansion project that is now complete. The progressive skilled nursing facility has 132-beds with semi-private and private rooms. The Center provides short-term skilled nursing and a specialized rehabilitation program.

Yesterday was national teachers day, we wanted to tell you about our wonderful resident Mrs Cline who Always wanted to be a teacher. She stated she used to make her dolls sit and listen to her teach while playing as a kid. She taught business to high school kids for 34 yrs. Her advice is to listen to your teachers and take what you learned into adulthood. Learn computers.

Yesterday was teachers day and Mr Cook our resident was a professor at VT for 39 yrs. At a young age while in Roanoke College his teacher saw potential in him that he never saw and encouraged him to be a teacher. He always wanted to help others learn literature despite his blindness. He finished his PHD and loved education. We are very honored to have him here
