🚓⭐ Our School Resource Officers enjoyed spending time with City of Dubuque Parks & Recreation at Comiskey Park!

Our SROs shared a little about life in law enforcement, talked about the many ways officers support our community, and answered questions about their day-to-day experiences.

Thank you to City of Dubuque Parks and Recreation for inviting us and providing a great opportunity for career exploration, connection, and conversation. We appreciate the chance to share more about the work of the department.

In March, we shared information about a scam involving the scammers contacting friends/family of somebody that was arrested and trying to get them to pay a "bond" via Apple Pay. We have received a report of similar behavior, in which the scammers ask for "bond money" through cash app type payments at local retailers. PLEASE do not trust unsolicited calls asking for your information or your money! Police will not ask for bond payments via phone, much less ask you to visit retailers to send them money through cash apps! If it seems suspicious, hang up. You can also verify any communication from DPD or Dubuque County Sheriff's Office by calling non-emergency at 563-589-4415.
