The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) is the largest socialist organization in the United States. Twin Ports DSA is based in Duluth, and welcomes all members from northeast Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin. DSA is NOT a political party, but a big-tent political organization that operates from the bottom up. We provide a political home for people who share similar values, particularly those

Follow and contribute to their excellent work!

Thursday, 7 pm at the Central Hillside Community Center!
Join the Palestine Solidarity Working Group for a panel discussion on the movement to oppose US support of Israel through boycott, divestment, and sanctions. This is a non-violent movement inspired by the campaign to end apartheid in South Africa. There will be a speaker on each of these topics, a clip of The Palestine Laboratory, time for Q & A, and snacks provided.

How do YOU feel about Google secretly developing a huge AI data center in your backyard?

We urge everyone to turn out tonight, Tuesday May 19, at 7 pm at Hermantown City Hall to hold the line against the development of a hyperscale data center in Hermantown.

Apparently there's a rumor going around that "the same 20 people" are the only ones showing up to meetings and opposing this project. It's time for us to show how we really feel about this issue. See you there!

Join the Education Justice Working Group this Saturday and fight for more equitable education in Duluth schools!

Currently, when families have to move due to the high cost of living in Duluth, they have to fill out mounds of paperwork. This can result in children being left without transportation to school immediately after a move. Children without transportation miss school, and children who miss school fall behind.

This is just one of the issues facing Duluth families that the Education Working Group is focusing on, which means they need DSA members (you!) to join the fight. You can help by coming to the next Education Justice Working Group meeting this Saturday from 10-11:30 at Ecolibrium3. Build momentum on this campaign and help fight education inequity in Duluth!

Housing can’t wait—and we’re delivering 🏡
This week, we passed our bipartisan housing bill to build more homes to rent & own, accelerate affordability, and strengthen workforce housing —especially across Greater Minnesota. This includes investments I’ve fought for like $40M in emergency rental assistance to keep families stably housed and open the door to homeownership for more first-gen buyers.

Big step forward—but we’re not done. Senate next, then conference committee, and back to the floor. Let’s get it done.
