Sophomore Abby Zins (Center City, Minnesota) is the winner of the Library's 2026 Bede Award for Undergraduate Research. Abby received this year's award for her "Critical Appraisal of the Literature: Women's Adherence to Pelvic Floor Muscle Training for Urinary Incontinence Improvement with Increased Self-efficacy." Her research was originally presented for NSG 3050: Healthcare Research and Appraisal, a course taught last fall by CSS faculty member Kaytlin Richie.

Congratulations to our colleague, Todd White, on being the featured speaker at the final SAS Colloquium of the year, held Friday afternoon in the Library's Raven Room. A masterful storyteller and printmaker, Todd captivated and entertained the audience with the folk legend of St. Guinevere -- the dog who rose to sainthood in medieval Lyon, France. He also shared his creative process for creating a limited edition print based on the legend. He even unveiled the final product for us to see!

One of the pleasures of interlibrary loan work is discovering books which were selected by earlier librarians and faculty members at the College. We sent this 1963 monograph on the Huia, an extinct bird of New Zealand, to a library in San Francisco this morning.
