A few members of the Duluth Police Department participated in the first annual 'Battle of the Badges' fundraiser trap shoot on Saturday at the Proctor Gun Club. The competition helped raise funds towards the Duluth East Trap team.
We had a blast and look forward to next years competition!

DPD had their annual School Patrol Party at Adventure Zone today. Our School Resource Officers and Community Officers had fun engaging with students while playing games, eating lunch, and thanking them for their hard work this school year for keeping their fellow classmates safe.

We couldn’t do this party without the help from Adventure Zone for hosting and providing free gameplay for the kids - thank you for your continued partnership!

The Lake Superior Violent Offender Task Force has been investigating 31-year-old Kwame Mitchell for sale of drugs within the Twin Ports. During the investigation, task force investigators identified two locations he utilized to sell drugs out of. During the ex*****on of the search warrant on both locations, on Mitchell, and his vehicle, the following were seized:

-1,996.37 grams of m**h
-1.05 kilograms of co***ne
-3 grams of fentanyl
-44,883 in US Currency
-A loaded pistol
-Other evidence of drug sales

Mitchell was lodged at the St Louis County Jail for pending charges of 1st Degree Sale of Methamphetamine, 1st Degree Sale of Co***ne, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm

On Wednesday, June 3, Duluth Police located a Burton snowboard in a wooded area near Chester Park. If you had a Burton snowboard stolen this past winter and believe this is yours, please call (218)-730-5130 to further identify.
