Bringing learning to life is always exciting, especially when students can see science concepts in action. Our 5th graders had an amazing opportunity to partner with the Amazon Think Big Program and Photon Robots to explore food webs through hands-on, interactive learning!

🤖🌿 Robots + Science = Engaged Learners! 🌿🤖

Last week, our 5th grade students put their knowledge of food webs to the test with the help of Photon Robots, thanks to the Amazon Think Big Program. Students collaborated with peers, programmed robots, solved challenges, and deepened their understanding of how organisms are connected within ecosystems.

A big thank you to the Amazon Think Big Program and Photon Robots for providing this incredible learning experience for our students!

This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and partnership of our students, staff, families, and community. We are proud to have increased our score from 84.6 to 90.6 and earn this prestigious recognition.

While we celebrate this milestone, we know that excellence is a journey, not a destination. The important work already underway this school year will continue to build on this momentum as we strive to create even greater opportunities and outcomes for our students.

💙 Community Kindness in Action! 💙

A huge thank you to parents Crystal and Cedrick Washington, owners of Spectrum Events, for organizing the Spectrum Cares Donation Drive! Thanks to their generosity and the support of the community, more than 70 undergarments and toiletry items were donated to support students in need at Covington-Harper Elementary School.

We are so grateful for families and community partners who come together to make a difference for our students. Thank you, Crystal, Cedrick, Spectrum Events, and everyone who contributed! 💙✨
