We cannot say THANK YOU enough to everyone from our community and beyond who showed up last night to come together in unity to honor those lives lost from the tragic events of 9/11/01.

We heard so many stories from everyone about where they were and what they were doing on that September morning.

Every organization was proud to be there and grateful for all of you!

(We apologize for not having pictures of all those who participated. When I went up to the Franklin Church to get delicious soup and pie and swing past the Historical Society, I forgot my phone.)

We will be selling 9/11 t-shirts at our event while supplies last.

On Monday 9/7 we will be at the club from 10am-2pm if anyone wants to stop by and buy them to have it to wear for the event.

We have 6 XL, 15 2XL, and 11 3XL remaining. The XL are $20. The 2XL and 3XL are $22.

Don’t forget about our Community Event that we are hosting in Remembrance of the 25th Anniversary of 9/11 on 9/11 starting at 4pm!

This is a way to bring the community together and support our community members and local organizations!

Featuring:

Dunbar Loving Hands Senior Group will be hosting a basket raffle!!!

The Fire Department will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, fresh cut fries, and hot sausage sandwiches.

Dunbar Library will be raffling items!

Presbyterian Church is hosting a bake sale!

Franklin Church will be selling their delicious soups and pies!

St. Aloysius Church will be selling their homemade pizza!!

New Life Church will be selling snow cones!

The Landman Family will have THE BARREL TRAIN!

Doss Boys BBQ will be doing kids tattoos and face painting!!

The Historical Society will be open!

The Cub Scouts will be there with their yummy popcorn!

We will have speakers from various veterans and Ron Shroyer from the Connellsville Area Veterans Patriot Project!

We have some crafters and vendors selling wreaths, w**e glasses, 3D printed items, etc!

And music by The Working Man Band!

The Dunbar Volunteer Fire Department invites everyone to join us for a special evening as we commemorate the 25th Anniversary of September 11.

Come spend the evening with family, friends, and neighbors as we honor those we lost, recognize the courage of our first responders, and celebrate the strength of our community.

The evening will feature:
🕯️ Memorial Service at 4:45 PM
🎶 Live music by The Working Men Band from 5:00–9:00 PM
🎟️ Raffles
🧁 Bake sales
🏘️ Local businesses, churches, and community organizations
