We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween yesterday!

Unfortunately, changing fall temperatures will bring a chance for severe weather on Monday. Multiple rounds of strong-severe thunderstorms are possible across much of Oklahoma Monday. Damaging winds, large hail and tornadoes are all possible during this time.

Stay weather aware throughout the day on Monday, have multiple ways to receive alerts, and refresh your shelter plan to be !

🎀Breast Cancer Awareness Shirts🎀

The shirts are ready for pickup. There will be someone at our main station on Thursday the 15th from 3:30 to 6:00 to handout shirts for those that have purchased one. If you will not be available please send us a message or text 580-475-4106 to try to work out a time to meet.

Today the Oakridge Fire Department was able to donate the proceeds from our T-Shirt fundraiser totaling $2,500. We appreciate everyone for buying a shirt and donating to support Shelly in her battle against breast cancer.

We also appreciate Duncan Firefighters Association Local 2929 for their $500 donation to help support our fundraiser.

As of this morning the county commissioners voted to remove the burn ban.

Even with the burn ban removed we ask you to burn carefully and responsibly, because even though the ground is wet, fires can still get out of control quickly.

Please report any controlled burns to the Stephens County Sheriff's Office - Oklahoma so it can be properly logged.

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected Wednesday afternoon and overnight across portions of the state.

Flash flooding is possible, especially in low-lying or floodprone areas. Don't drive into water!

High winds and quarter-sized hail are possible along with a low risk for tornadoes. Stay weather aware throughout the next two days and be sure you have multiple ways to receive alerts, including while you sleep!

Today Oakridge Fire Department responded to a grass fire on Comanche Lake Road just south of Oliver Drive.

Oakridge Fire would like to thank Comanche Vfd, U.S. Forest Service, and Stephens County Sheriff's Office - Oklahoma for the assistance.
