The daily grind of these heroes, visiting homes and seeing children in conditions mirroring my own past struggles, was profound. Articles documented such cases, painting a stark picture of poverty, lack of basic necessities, and the harsh reality many foster children face. It's a widespread issue, not an isolated one.

Asking a mother why she gave up her children is one of the hardest questions. Her answer? 'You have a better chance at college education and a better life.' I've never hated my birth mom; I praise her strength and foresight. She made a choice for our future, a decision I understand given her circumstances and constant work to provide.

What an incredible day at the 2026 Wade Scharff Memorial Golf Tournament!
