"I had a bad day at work."

That's the excuse a driver gave our officers after being clocked at 124 mph on I-285 last night.

We all have bad days. But driving at triple-digit speeds puts everyone on the road at risk and can turn a frustrating day into a fatal one.

Our priority is simple: making sure everyone gets home safely. Speeding at 124 mph won't solve your problems. It will only earn you a ride to jail, where your day is likely to get even worse.

Join us for Community Care Day on Friday, October 23, from 11 AM–2 PM at Chick-fil-A (4350 Ashford Dunwoody Road) as we raise money for our 2026 Christmas for Kids: Shop with a Hero program!

The best part? You can help just by ordering the lunch you were already planning to get!

📱 In the Chick-fil-A app: Tap “YES” when the Shop with a Hero pop-up appears and opt in to support DPD.

🚗 In the drive-thru or inside: Just tell the cashier you want to support the Dunwoody Police Department’s fundraiser!

A portion of sales will benefit deserving Dunwoody kids this holiday season.

Come grab lunch, say hello to your DPD officers, and help us make Christmas a little brighter for local kids!
