We understand that not everyone is able to foster; however, you can still be part of the solution by helping to spread the word. You are surrounded by great people that could be great foster parents. Some of them just need to hear it from you first. Do you part to support our children, reach out and let one of them know about fostering. We'll even be happy to mail to you a brochure that you can share with them.

Come join us for a day of family-friendly fun on 6/10/26 at Sardis Lake for the annual Outreach at the Beach. There will be swimming, beach volleyball, giveaways, and food! We'll be there enjoying the fun, and we hope you'll be there too! We will have foster care representatives there, stop on by our table and start your fostering journey.

Finding ways to support our children in foster care doesn't have to be a challenge. You can get involved by:

* Telling someone you know about fostering: You hang out with some pretty cool people and we're sure one of them would be a great foster parent. Send us a message and we'll get you some brochures that you can share.

* Knowing the facts: There are, on average, 400 Choctaw children in foster care in Oklahoma. We only have 56 foster homes. We are only able to place about 100 children in our program. We need more foster homes for children.

* Advocating for our children: Make other people aware of the needs of our children. Use your voice and influence to raise awareness in your community.

* Consider fostering a child. Could you foster occasionally on weekends as a Respite Home? Would you consider fostering without much notice as an Emergency Home? Perhaps you'd be interested in fostering a child during the life or his/her case as a Traditional Home? We need all types of foster parents and there is a place for you and a child needs you today.

Join us, 5/12/2026, 5:00 PM thru 7:00 PM, at the Choctaw Community Center in Antlers! We know you're curious about fostering and one of our Foster Care experts will be present to answer all of your questions. So come on out, get your questions answered, and enjoy some cookies and punch.
Also, several other programs will also be there to share their information and promo items.
