Dutton Volunteer Fire & Rescue

Dutton Volunteer Fire Department is proud to be part of training opportunities like this alongside Power Volunteer Fire Department. It's always great to see small communities come together, learn from one another, and work toward keeping our neighbors safe. Thank you to everyone who helped make this training possible!

High school students from Dutton/Brady, Power and Choteau spent a day at Dutton/Brady Public Schools learning about drivers’ safety and the responsibilities of first responders on Oct. 7.

Big thanks to Teton County EMS for putting together a great day for our local students.

Dutton Volunteer was glad to take part alongside Power Fire, Mercy Flight , Benefis Trauma Team and our county responders. The students got a hands-on look at a crash scene, extrication, patient care and just how serious the consequences of not wearing a seat belt can be.

A lot of good people came together for one reason, to help our students make safer choices and hopefully prevent a tragedy down the road.

Thanks to everyone who helped make the day happen.

A little more info on our upcoming Dutton Volunteer Fire Department Trunk-or-Treat and a few ways people can help out.

The Trunk-or-Treat will be held Saturday, October 31st from 4:30–7:30 PM on Main Street in front of the Dutton Fire Hall. We’ll be using the two blocks around the fire hall for the event.

We’re looking for anyone who may want to donate candy, prizes for the costume contests, or make a donation to help cover prizes and other costs for the event. Businesses, groups, or individuals are all welcome to help.

Dutton EMS will also be joining us for the evening and helping with our donation drive for the Choteau Food Pantry. We’re hoping between both departments and everyone who comes out, we can put together a really good donation for them.

A few things the food pantry is currently needing are:

Cake mixes
Pudding
Jell-O
Spices
Condiments
Salad dressings

If you’re coming down for Trunk-or-Treat, feel free to bring an item along to donate.

If you’d rather make a donation directly to the Dutton Volunteer Fire Department, those are always appreciated as well and help us with equipment, training, community events, and other department needs.

If you’d like to donate a prize, candy, help sponsor part of the event, or make a donation, get ahold of one of us below or send the Dutton Volunteer Fire Department page a message.

Thanks again to everyone who supports us. We’re hoping to make this a fun night for the kids while also helping out the food pantry and our community.

Dutton Volunteer Fire is putting together a Trunk or Treat for Halloween night, Saturday, October 31, from 4:30–7:30 PM on Main Street in front of the Dutton Fire hall.

We might be a little late getting this fundraiser rolling, but there’s no time like the present!

We’re planning to use two blocks on each side of the fire hall and would like to start getting an idea of who would be interested in setting up a trunk, handing out candy, helping with the event, or donating toward prizes for the kids.

We’ll also be collecting donations for the Choteau Food Pantry. Some of the items they’re currently needing are cake mixes, pudding, Jell-O, spices, condiments and dressings.

We’re planning several costume contests and prizes, including cutest costume, most Disney-like costume, scariest costume, most creative costume, best family or group costume, and best decorated trunk.

Local residents, businesses and community members who would like to donate prizes, candy, food pantry items or help sponsor the event are more than welcome to jump in.

This is still coming together, so more details will be posted as we get closer. We’re hoping to make it a fun Halloween night for the kids, help out the food pantry, and give everyone another good reason to get together here in Dutton.

Here's a great opportunity to get involved and help serve our community's!

Teton County EMS will be holding an informational meeting for anyone interested in becoming a certified Emergency Medical Responder (EMR). No prior experience is needed, just a willingness to learn and help others when they need it most.

This year, several more members of the Dutton Volunteer Fire Department will be taking the EMR course to become certified and help strengthen our emergency response capabilities right here in Dutton.

We'd love to see more local residents get involved! Whether you're interested in joining EMS, helping your neighbors, or learning valuable lifesaving skills, this is a great place to start.

The informational meeting will be held October 29th at 6:00 PM at the Power EMS Station.

Come see what it's all about!

Today, Dutton Volunteer Fire Department remembers the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the first responders who ran toward danger when everyone else was trying to get out.

We remember the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS crews, military members, and civilians whose lives were forever changed that day.

25 years later, we still remember.

Never forget.

Just helping spread the word for Fairfield Volunteer Fire. They’re working on raising funds for a new F-550 chassis to upgrade their rural truck, with a fire bed coming from DNRC.

If you’re able to help them out, Always good to support our neighboring departments and help keep good equipment in our local communities.

Details to come.

DONT MISS THIS COMMUNITY EVENT: Sunday September 13th Fairfield vs Choteau fire departments will square off to determine the 911 Memorial softball champion. Hang around after the game for outstanding barbecue. There’s a very small chance of rain, but we always put on a great show. Show your support for your local departments and have a wonderful time with the men and women who selflessly serve our community.
