**UPDATE FOR CLARIFICATION – Neighborhood Meeting**

The Village of Dwight will be holding a Special Village Board Meeting on Monday, November 9, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

To clarify, the purpose of this meeting is to address concerns raised by residents of Scott's 2nd Addition (Karen Drive) that have been brought before the Village Board since this past summer.

Representatives from Chamlin & Associates, the Village's engineering firm, will provide a presentation regarding these concerns.

Following the presentation, residents will have an opportunity to ask questions, provide feedback, and discuss their concerns with Village officials and engineers.

NEW DOWNTOWN SIGN GRANT PROGRAM!

The Village of Dwight is excited to announce a new Downtown Sign Grant Program designed to support our local businesses, encourage reinvestment, and enhance the appearance of our downtown!

Grant Funding Available:

Up to $750 for a wall-mounted sign

Up to $1,250 for a projecting or hanging sign

Up to $2,000 per business if eligible for two signs!

Who Qualifies?

Businesses located within the DT-1 Downtown Retail Business District (TIF 1) may be eligible to participate. Both property owners and business tenants may apply, subject to program requirements.

How to Apply:

Interested businesses must complete a grant application and receive written approval from the Village before ordering or installing signage.

Approved projects are reimbursed after completion and submission of the required documentation.

Funding is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to program approval and available funds.

Village of Dwight Surplus Property Sale

The Village of Dwight is accepting sealed bids for surplus vehicles, equipment, and other municipal property.

Bid Period: October 21–30, 2026
Bid Deadline: Friday, October 30, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

To submit a bid, bidders must complete the Surplus Property Bid Form available at the link below. A separate bid form must be completed for each item being bid on, and each form must be submitted in its own sealed envelope.

The sealed envelope must be marked “Sealed Bid – Surplus Property” and include the applicable item number. Completed bids must be returned to Dwight Village Hall before the deadline.

The administrative bid opening will be held on November 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and will not be open to the public. The Village anticipates contacting selected bidders by November 5, 2026. Only selected bidders will be contacted.

Certain items may be subject to an undisclosed reserve price. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor irregularities, and withdraw or reoffer any item.
