We would like to introduce you to Corky Miller. A month ago, we warned the community about a ruse burglary that occurred in town. We could not share it at the time, but our Detectives had Corky identified as the suspect within 24 hours of the burglary happening. Yesterday, Corky was taken into custody. Due process allows for Corky to be innocent until proven guilty, however we wanted to share his photo and provide an update that the case was solved.

After 28 years in law enforcement, with 23 of those years at the Dyer Police Department, Commander Robert Cook will retire this afternoon. We are extremely grateful for his dedication and service while serving in a wide variety of positions within the department. We wish him luck on his next chapter in life and hope to still see him around from time to time.
