Dirt flying, paint splattering and skills sharpened!

Prime Base Engineer Emergency Force (BEEF) Airmen from the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron put four months of training to the test during a comprehensive field exercise at Dyess AFB.

Integrating skills like tactical convoy operations, land navigation, building defensive fighting positions and Tactical Combat Casualty Care, the Airmen competed in a dynamic capture-the-flag scenario. Today, we reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who stood united against oppression—a powerful reminder that unity and determination can overcome even the greatest challenges.

Airmen from the 317th Airlift Wing are in Normandy, France, from June 2–7, commemorating the 82nd anniversary of D-Day alongside Allies and partners.

D-Day recognizes the valor and service across the five beaches of Normandy, where U.S. service members parachuted behind enemy lines. Their legacy continues to shape the character and commitment of today’s warfighters, reflecting America’s 250-year dedication to peace and stability.

Preserving our heritage, one airframe at a time.

Today, Team Dyess celebrated the newest additions to the Linear Air Park: the A-10 Thunderbolt II and the F-16 Fighting Falcon!

Held inside the Dyess Memorial Museum due to inclement weather, the ceremony marked the culmination of three years of hard work by the 7th Civil Engineer Squadron. Pouring over 70 cubic yards of concrete and craning these legends into their permanent positions, this was the squadron's first troop-led project in nearly nine years.

Now standing proudly in the Linear Air Park, these aircraft preserve Air Force history for our future generations. Thank you to everyone who made this possible!
