Over MEA weekend, our BHMS Panthers headed to Washington DC for long, packed days with learning, exploring, and making memories!
From Mount Vernon and the White House to the Lincoln Memorial and so many other monuments and memorials, students experienced history beyond the classroom. Visits to the Holocaust Museum and the National Museum of African American History and Culture offered powerful opportunities for learning and reflection, while the natural history and National Geographic museums sparked curiosity and discovery. We even squeezed in some royal entertainment at Medieval Times!
Through all the miles walked (around 26), sights seen, and time spent together, our students did an amazing job representing BHMS in our nation’s capitol. We’re so proud of these Panthers and grateful to the five teacher chaperones who helped make this adventure possible!
