Eagle Island State Park is a 545-acre park west of Boise in Eagle, Idaho.

Eagle Island is a 545 acre day-use park west of Boise that features a popular swimming beach, a grassy picnic area, a waterslide and more than five miles of trails for those looking for a place to ride horses, hike, walk your dog, or play disc golf.

Hello Friends-

The Play It Again Sports Disc Golf Event is happening this weekend Saturday October 17th, 2026. With that, the disc golf course will be closed during the duration of tournament play.

Trail users; if you have dogs please keep them on a leash if you are using the trails that cross through or are adjacent to our disc golf course, and be aware of flying discs.

We are so excited to share our park is expanding accessibility opportunities in the Treasure Valley!♿️💙

Eagle Island now has two accessible recreation equipment options located in the park:

👩‍🦼‍➡️The Rig (left): An Adaptive E-Bike

🧑‍🦽‍➡️TrackChair (right): All-Terrain Wheelchair

Our partners at Idaho for All worked with us to provide more opportunities for all people to explore our trail system.

Both equipment are available for daily reservations at no costs on a first-come, first-served basis by calling the Eagle Island State Park Visitor Center: (208) 939-0696

We are proud to expand access so every Idahoan can enjoy the green spaces across our state public land.🌳

Cribstock 2026 was a SUCCESS!🎉🐟👏

Ten amazing volunteers joined our park staff to build five creative fish cribs that will soon provide valuable habitat for fish in our new pond!

A huge thank-you to our friends at The Home Depot for generously donating the supplies that made this event possible!

Our winning design was “The Frydaho Inn,” featured in the second photo. Not only does it have a clever name, but the crib is actually shaped like Idaho!🏆🙌

Events like these remind us that protecting our natural resources involves engaging with community. Together, we can create healthier aquatic habitats, one fish crib at a time. Thank you to everyone who made Cribstock possible! We can’t wait to get these cribs into the pond!

All seasons are beautiful at Eagle Island State Park, but fall may be one of our favorite times of year. 🍂🌳

Our park had a great summer season, and now we’re looking forward to cooler days, changing leaves, and all the ways our visitors enjoy autumn recreation here in the Treasure Valley.

Come experience our park this season by staying in our campground, fishing our pond, or simply walking along the trails surrounded by autumn color.⛺️🎣🍁

Attention visitors, the park will be a hosting cross country meet on the following day: Saturday, September 19th, 2026 - Eagle Island Cross Country Invitational

Because of this event; the disc golf course, hiking trails and equestrian trails around the lake will be closed on this day. Please avoid these areas during this event. We are expecting around 3,000 people during this event, so there will also be limited access in the other areas of the park. We also ask that you kindly leave any race material alone as we prepare for this event.

If you do plan to visit the park that day, please use the trailhead parking, new pond parking, and the horse trailer parking lot on the East end of the park.
