🚑 EMS Volunteer Weekend class: Landing Zone Class was led by Leslie Lovell, Account Executive with Air Methods. Representing for MedFlight Little Rock and Pafford Air Med. Shermar Easter with LifeNet Air taught the class on the use of air resources.

Volunteer firefighters responded to a reported near-drowning. Just like real life, there was more to the story. Their simulated patient’s near-drowning was a result of an alligator attack that caused a double amputation of his legs. MedFlight was called to bring their life-saving blood, medications, and expedited transport to this critical patient. Knowledge doesn’t come without effort and these Volunteers put in the work! 💪💪🚑

🚑 Volunteer weekend EMS: The Drama of Trauma class.
Volunteer firefighters were trained on the importance of bleeding control, shock management, and why to think deeper about hidden injuries based on mechanism of injury.
This new knowledge was then combined with the extrication training class to simulate care for the entrapped, critical MVA patient. The commitment of these volunteer personnel to bring life saving skills to the streets is commendable! 💪
