Last night we had HEN Technologies stop in for a nozzle demonstration. It started with a short lecture on the products and then we took it to the field to have some fun with it. We are demoing different nozzles to find what works best for our company and the types of fires we deal with in our district. It was definitely a fun drill to see what these nozzles could do with the new technology we have today!

East Concords own VP/Firefighter/EMT Koree Hubbard attended this training. She impressed one of her instructors so much that she shouted out "Your a BAD@$$ Hubbard" She is small but Mighty!!! Way to go all who attended!

Lead Instructors Assistant Chief Jessica Strom of Buffalo Airport Fire Department, Battalion Chief Aimee Kinsley of Buffalo Fire Department, and Division Chief Wendy Majtyka-Hartman of Buffalo Fire Department, along with an all-female fire instructor staff, conducted this specialized training exclusively for women firefighters last month at the Erie County Fire Training Academy. 🔥
Participants representing over 20 agencies rotated through hands on training stations, including hose line advancement in Collyer’s Mansion conditions, ladder bailouts, firefighter rescues, drags and carries, Mayday procedures, Mayday command, and ventilation.

Start planning now...it's only a matter of time ❄️

Don't swerve! You can replace a vehicle. Hunting season is around the corner and activity is ramping up. Don't drive distracted, stay alert and drive safe.

Or else… you might meet a deer the hard way, and nobody wants that. 🦌 Peak deer season is right around the corner, and guess what? They don’t watch out for cars, so it’s up to all of us behind the wheel to stay alert.

✔️ Slow down, especially at dawn and dusk
✔️ Use high beams when safe to spot glowing eyes along the roadside
✔️ If you see one deer, expect more to follow
✔️ Never swerve - brake firmly and stay in your lane

Stay sharp, New York! 👀
