Ever read something in the Bible and think, “Wait… what?”
Or hear two people read the exact same passage and somehow come away with completely different ideas about who God is?
Tomorrow we’re going to talk about how we read the Bible—not just what it says, but how we learn to recognize the voice of God within it.
We’ll talk about logos and mythos, midrash, context, metaphor, and the lens Jesus gives us for reading Scripture: love.
And yes, somehow Sheldon made it into the sermon. 🙂
