A huge thank you to Sigma Chi Fraternity - MSU volunteers for stopping by today and helping get things ready for the season, from pulling weeds to raking leaves. We appreciate your time, hard work, and helping hands in making our spaces look their best!

⚒️ Another shelter repair in the works!

We’re making much-needed repairs to our chimney thanks to the Michigan State Housing Development Authority Shelter Repair Grant! This is one of the final repairs in our project list, and it couldn’t come at a better time.

With winter just around the corner, we’re grateful for this opportunity to help ensure our shelter remains safe, warm, and welcoming for the families we serve. ❤️

Thank you to MSHDA for helping us make these important improvements possible!

🎃 TRUNK-OR-TREAT WAS A SUCCESS! 🍬

A huge THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers and staff who helped make this day so special for our families in shelter and our community! ❤️

We loved seeing all the creative costumes, spooktacular themed trunks, and, best of all, the smiles on everyone’s faces!

Despite the chilly temperatures, we had a fantastic time!

A special shout-out to Scott Clow from 99.1 WFMK for his continued support of Haven House and for keeping the good vibes going with some sweet tunes!

Happy Friday!! ✨

Thank you to an anonymous donor for purchasing five microwaves, blenders, sets of cutting boards, and dishes sets!!!

As families move into housing, we work through our inventory of essential items to help make their new spaces feel like home. We are so grateful for the continued support and generosity of our community, which allows us to meet families’ needs and help them get settled into this next chapter of their lives. 🫶

🎃 Costumes arrived today! 😁👻

Since 2021, Haven House has partnered with an anonymous donor to provide Halloween costumes for the children in our shelter!

Each year, our donor provides us with a list of costumes and sizes, and our families get to choose the ones their children love most. The costumes are then delivered just in time for our annual Trunk-or-Treat and Halloween celebrations!

This special partnership brings so much joy to our families, and we absolutely love seeing the kids dressed up, celebrating, and making sweet Halloween memories! 🫶

We are so grateful for this continued generosity and for the smiles it brings to the children and families we serve. Thank you for helping make Halloween extra special! 🧡🖤
