This boil order has been lifted.

‼️UPDATE/BOIL ORDER‼️
October 1st - 8:00 a.m.
We are issuing a temporary boil order for those customers affected by this water break. This is only precautionary until bacteria samples are completed. We do not foresee any issues. We will update when this boil order has been lifted. Thank you for your continued patience!

*Update - 9:45 p.m.

Unfortunately, we have no real update. We are still out trying to repair this main break on W 8th St. We will continue in our efforts to repair this break and restore service as quickly as possible. We’ve had several things go wrong and appreciate your patience.

Wednesday, September 30th 2:15 p.m.

We currently have a water main break on W. 8th St. near Dairy Queen. Our crew is out assessing the situation and is awaiting other utility lines to be marked before they can start their repairs. Customers will experience low pressure and/or water loss until this break is repaired. We apologize for this inconvenience and will update this post as any new info becomes available.

**Edit - we are also aware of a leak on Michigan Ave. in Klondike. We will repair this leak as soon as possible.

The East Liverpool Water Dept. has immediate openings for water plant operators and water maintenance. These positions would require any interested person(s) to pass a Civil Service test for these specific positions to be held within 90 days of appointment. Until the passage of the Civil Service test, you will be considered a temporary employee. The applicant(s) that is temporarily hired and passes the Civil Service test will be eligible for a full-time position and paid according to union scale, with health insurance and benefits, if hired permanently.

The starting wage for the temporary water plant operator position is $20.62/hr. and is a variable shift position. The starting wage for the temporary water maintenance crew is $20.49/hr. and is Monday-Friday, first shift. Both positions will also have overtime as needed. These wages will increase after 90 days and a permanent appointment is made.
