🌧️ WEATHER ADVISORY – EAST NEWARK 🌬️
The East Newark Police Department would like to remind all residents to be prepared for a wet and windy weekend.
🌧️ Rain is expected throughout Saturday and Sunday, with periods of heavier rain possible.
💨 Strong winds and gusts are also expected, which may result in downed branches, loose debris, and difficult driving conditions.
🌊 Residents in areas that are prone to flooding should remain alert, as coastal flooding is possible, particularly during high tide.
Please take a few precautions:
• Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, garbage cans, and other loose items.
• Avoid unnecessary travel during periods of heavy rain or strong winds.
• Never drive through flooded roadways or around barricades.
• Use caution around downed trees or power lines and report hazards immediately.
• Keep an eye on weather updates and emergency notifications throughout the weekend.
The East Newark Police Department, along with our emergency services partners, will continue to monitor conditions and respond as needed.
Please stay safe, stay alert, and look out for one another. 🇺🇸
