🇺🇸 NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Today, the East Newark Fire Department pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the first responders who ran toward danger while others ran to safety.

We remember the 343 FDNY firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice, along with every innocent life taken that day and all those whose lives were forever changed in the years that followed.

Twenty-five years later, their bravery, service, and sacrifice remain etched in our hearts.

We will never forget. We will always remember. 🇺🇸🚒

Thank you Mayor Dina M. Grilo & New Jersey American Water!!

East Newark Fire Department receives $1,000 donation through New Jersey American Water’s “Mayor's Charity of Choice” raffle.

New Jersey American Water donated $1,000 to the East Newark Volunteer Fire Department, a volunteer organization working tirelessly to protect the residents of the East Newark Borough, responding to emergencies and keeping the community safe day and night.

The Fire Department was selected as the beneficiary of this donation through New Jersey American Water's “Mayor's Charity of Choice” contest at the New Jersey Conference of Mayors, where East Newark Mayor Dina M. Grilo won a raffle giving her the chance to choose a local nonprofit to receive $1,000.
