Students learned how to cut a stencil from a drawing while following safety guidelines. They prepped a surface, applied the stencil and spray painted the image through (or around) the mask. Subject was student's choice, but separating positive and negative spaces was the challenge, as well as planning out the image and using bridges. Some experienced students used multi-layered techniques with several colors.

Students chose a Principle of Design and created an artwork demonstrating that principle. Students also used a word and illustrated it with perspective and/or in graffiti style letters.
