Graduation is almost here!! Exciting day for our seniors today! They get to check out and pick up their cap and gowns for the big day on Thursday at Stanford

Nothing is more exciting than honoring students, their families and their culture. We held our Senior Awards and Cultural Night last night where we recognized seniors for academic achievement, gave out many scholarships, and honored their roots by presenting them with a cultural stole. Grateful to our East Palo Alto Academy Foundation and the many sponsors for their generosity in providing scholarships and the leadership class and custodian for the beautiful decorations, set up, and clean up.

The Sequoia Union High School District Board visited East Palo Alto Academy for a day of meaningful conversations. 💡
Throughout the visit, Board members met with department chairs over lunch, heard directly from a student panel, and connected with parents to learn more about the experiences, perspectives, and aspirations that shape the EPAA campus life.
The thoughtful questions and conversations throughout the day reflected the strength of collaboration and shared commitment to student success.

Staff appreciation week continues this week! Yesterday the parents spoiled our staff with homemade tortillas and a delicious meal, desserts and agua fresca! Grateful to our city council member that stopped by!

We are incredibly grateful to all staff that go above and beyond every single day for our students and families. Friday they received cookies from the district and this week we are honoring them with little treats everyday… Today was bagel, coffee, and juice morning treats from admin as well as beautiful decorations from our parent leaders! All staff received some EPAA swag as well as a small token of our appreciation.

Students had a blast this past weekend at prom! Loved seeing the excitement over this year’s king and queen competition..

We are very proud of students that have been reclassified and no longer English Learners.. The students were honored at the district board meeting last night!
