The City of East Providence is developing a plan to develop safety improvements for the Six Corners area (including Taunton Avenue, Waterman Avenue, Broadway, John Street and Hall Street).

Today we are pleased to share an update on renovations underway at 548 Willett Avenue, the former Riverside Food Mart.

The property will reopen as Cafe Inka, a coffee shop offering Peruvian cuisine along with sandwiches and prepared foods that reflect what the site offered before, plus new items and pastries including pan con chicharrón.

The focus will be on an assortment of South American coffees, with an emphasis on specialty Peruvian coffee.

Renovations are progressing and should be completed in a few months, with a tentative opening expected in January 2027.
