In Children’s ministry, August is a month of preparation. We recover from a busy summer of ministry and prep for the upcoming new ministry season!

As I sought God and asked what He wants us to teach the children this fall in our SALT after-school programs, He gave me this verse that is in our reading today of 1 Peter. We will be learning together how to defend our faith in Jesus. So that when people ask us why we believe in the Bible and salvation through Jesus alone, we will be able to answer in a gentle and respectful way!

Would you join me in prayer for SALT ministries at Springfield, Northwestern and Conneaut? We are excited for all that God will do in these groups this year!

What are we DEVOTING ourselves to?

In Acts 2 today we read that the early followers of Jesus DEVOTED themselves to the apostles teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread and praying.

Devotion is defined as a deep loyalty and dedication that goes beyond duty. Devotion is selfless, steadfast and action-oriented!

Let us be people that are deeply devoted to the Word and prayer daily, and invested in meeting together.

I can’t wait to see you all Sunday and worship our Lord and Savior together!
