This past Monday for drill, October 26th, your ACME Hose Company #1 Volunteers took a trip to Monroe County Control Center 911.

Our Firefighters sharpened their skills on initiating interior fire suppression attacks, utilizing the Burn Building at Monroe County Training Center. Firefighters practiced primary searches, advancing hose lines, establishing water supply, and ventilation operations. We’d like to thank Monroe County Training Center for accommodating our desire to utilize the building.

Does firefighting interest you? Want to make a difference in the community? Looking for a sense of purpose? Come on down to our Station at 380 Chestnut Street, East Stroudsburg Monday nights at 7pm to inquire about volunteering!

Earlier this morning at approximately 5:30 AM, the East Stroudsburg Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 600 block of Thomas Street in Stroudsburg, PA.

Our members assisted the Stroudsburg Fire Department, working alongside the Stroud Township Fire Department and Pocono Township Fire Department.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently unknown and remains under investigation.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents of the home as they deal with the aftermath of this incident.

We would also like to thank our neighboring fire companies and assisting agencies, including Suburban EMS and Stroud Area Regional Police, for their help and cooperation on scene.
