Happy Public Power Week! Thanks for following along this week. As General Manager Gary Ivory put it: "Ninety years is a long time to keep a promise. It's only possible because customers have trusted us, the employees have shown up every day to keep the power on, and a long line of commissioners have chosen careful stewardship over short-term wins." Here's to the next 90 years. Locally controlled and community powered.

Happy Public Power Week! As a not-for-profit utility, we want to help you use energy wisely and keep more money in your pocket. If you heat your home with electricity, our Residential Attic Insulation Rebate can help you stay warmer this winter. Rebates are $1,000, $1,750, or $2,500 depending on attic size, with an extra $200 for customers enrolled in PUD assistance programs. There is still time: projects must be finished in 2026, and funds are first-come, first-served. Happy Public Power Week! Douglas PUD owns and operates the Wells Hydroelectric Project. When Wells produces more power than our community needs, we sell the extra. That revenue comes back to you and is a big reason our rates are among the lowest in the nation. As a not-for-profit utility, your rates go back into keeping the lights on and the system ready for the next generation.
