School Resource Officer Alfonzo Gonzalez was able to send David into the tank for the first time this morning!

David camps out on the balcony of the Town Toyota Center each year until he sells 1000 tickets to the Military Appreciation Night Wenatchee Wild hockey game💙 This year, for each pack of 20 tickets purchased, David gets to take a swim! $4 of each ticket goes back to support local Veterans.

EWPD & WPD, in partnership with BlueBridge Alliance, purchased 20 tickets that will be passed out to Eastmont and Wenatchee students.

Just before 10:00pm on October 3rd, 2026, East Wenatchee Officers received a complaint about an in progress Domestic Disturbance from two separate third-party callers. The 911 callers advised a thirty-eight-year-old female at the 815 N. Baker apartments was being held hostage and involved in a dispute with a male inside her apartment. History at the location revealed the likely male and female involved in the dispute.

The thirty-four-year-old male had a current outstanding warrant for his arrest in addition to probable cause charges currently pending from Wenatchee Police Department’s and East Wenatchee Police Department’s recent investigations.

Officers, with the assistance of Wenatchee Police and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, arrived and found the male outside the apartment attempting to gain access and armed with a knife. Officers knew two children were still present inside the apartment. The male refused commands to comply. Officers utilized de-escalation tactics including a 40mm less lethal launcher; the suspect eventually complied and was safely taken into custody.

He was taken to Central Washington Hospital for evaluation and cleared. The male was booked into Chelan County Regional Jail for Domestic Violence Assault 2, Domestic Violence Threats to Kill, Reckless Endangerment (X2), and Resisting Arrest. The male was also booked on the additional pending charges.
