Coming up today!!!! (10/9)

Payomet Cirque by the Sea: Performance and Play
Friday, October 9 | 12:00pm –1:15 pm
Come experience the magic of circus with Payomet’s Cirque by the Sea!
The event begins at noon with a short performance by duET, Payomet’s own trapeze duo, Eleanor Getz and Gabrielle Ment. Watch as they take to the air for an exciting 15-minute performance!
Then, from approximately 12:15AM–1:15 PM, the circus becomes yours to explore! Our Play portion of the experience invites kids and participants of all ages to try their hand at circus skills, including aerial silks, juggling, balancing props, and more. Come play, experiment, and discover what you can do!
No circus experience necessary, just come ready to play!
If you plan to participate in the hands-on activities, please complete Payomet’s waiver in advance:

Coming up Next Week!!!!!!

My Hideous Progeny: Mary Shelley and her Creature with Gregory Williams
Tuesday October 13th @ 6 PM

Everyone knows Frankenstein (the Creature): grunting, arms outstretched, neck bolts, flat head. More recently, maybe, heavily scarred face. Or maybe not. The story of the novel and its teenaged author and her husband is another world altogether.

There is no charge for this resurrection experiment.
Join us for a fun and spooky night of literary history with Gregory Williams!

Are we letting Corey run away to join the circus?

No, of course not. He’s too good at putting books on the shelves. He needs to learn to embrace his natural skills.

And speaking of skills, come learn some sweet circus skills with Payomet Cirque by the Sea!!! They’ll put on a great performance and then teach you a few cool circus skills after!!!

Thanks to the support of Mass Cultural Council and the town of Eastham.

We hope to see you there :)

We received a very kind donation of a memorial Hackberry tree from the Zimmerman family in rememberance of Sandy Zimmerman.

Have you ever wondered how a large tree is planted at a library???

Here is your answer. Swing by the library to check out our beautiful new Common Hackberry tree, which will act as a shade tree for summer storytimes!!!
