Eastland Fire Department

Mark your calendars for an exciting time on the heels of fire prevention week. We will be having our annual open house.

Crews are currently working a grass fire on CR 190. The fire was fast moving however, a quick coordinated response from Eastland, Cisco, and Carbon ensured the fire did not progress. We appreciate our neighboring departments for the efforts to protect our communities. It is estimated that about 12 acres total burned.

🚒 The Struggle Is Real.

Volunteer fire departments face recruiting challenges, rising costs, aging equipment, and the constant struggle to balance firefighting with work and family.

Our volunteers leave their homes, jobs, and families to answer the call—not for a paycheck, but because they care.

❤️ Support your local volunteer fire department.

🚒 Thank a firefighter.
🔥 Consider answering the call yourself.

When the alarm sounds, we need someone to answer.

Eastland Fire Department Remembers 9/11

Today, we pause to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and reflect on the courage and sacrifice displayed during one of our nation's darkest days.

As we mark the 25th anniversary of 9/11, we pay special tribute to the 343 firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, and countless civilians who lost their lives in service to others. Their selfless actions remind us of the true meaning of duty, honor, and sacrifice.

The events of September 11 forever changed our nation and the fire service. The bravery demonstrated by the first responders who answered the call continues to inspire firefighters across the country, including those who serve our Eastland community today.

We encourage everyone to take a moment to remember the victims, honor the survivors, and recognize the heroes who ran toward danger to help others.

We will never forget.

In remembrance and gratitude,
Eastland Fire Department

🚨 SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH! 🚨

Preparedness starts before the emergency happens.

This National Preparedness Month, the Eastland Fire Department encourages everyone to take a few simple steps to help protect your family, home, and community:

🔥 Make a Plan – Know how your family will communicate and where you will meet in an emergency.

🚒 Build an Emergency Kit – Keep water, food, medications, flashlights, batteries, first-aid supplies, and other essentials ready.

📱 Stay Informed – Sign up for local emergency alerts and know how you will receive weather and emergency information.

🌪️ Know Your Risks – Prepare for the emergencies most likely to affect our area, including severe storms, tornadoes, wildfires, and power outages.

🧯 Practice Your Plan – Talk with your family and practice what to do when seconds matter.

Preparedness isn't just about being ready for the worst—it’s about giving yourself and your loved ones the best chance for a safe outcome.

Don’t wait for an emergency to make a plan. Prepare today!
