PART-TIME RECYCLING ATTENDANT POSITION
PALMER TOWNSHIP

The Township is looking for a part-time attendant to work the Hartley Ave. Recycling Center and the Berks St. Yard Waste public Facility. The attendants must be willing to work outside, capable of light lifting, and enjoys interaction with the public. Attendants will greet residents and provide basic recycling information. Additional responsibilities include watching closely for prohibited items, opening and closing the centers, maintaining minimal records, collecting drop-off fees, recording traffic counts, and operating the cardboard compactor.
The Recycling center is located on Hartley Avenue and is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm year-round. Closed on most holidays. The Yard Waste facility is located at the dead end of Berks St. and is open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm April thru November, with limited weekend days of operation during the off season. Applicants must be able to work approximately 12 or more hours per week and must be available on weekends.

Palmer Township Municipal Building will be closed on Monday, February 20th.

Township residents will be receiving utility bills this week with a due date of 3/15/23. Please note that the base residential quarterly sewer rate has increased from $27.50 to $35.00. The additional per unit rate has remained the same. This change is necessary to support ongoing sewer system maintenance cost increases.

As a reminder, our offices will be closed on Jan 2nd. Normal business hours will resume on Jan 3rd.
