This annual mailing is an important way for us to connect directly with the community we proudly serve. Your support helps strengthen our department beyond basic municipal funding and allows us to continue investing in areas that help keep our firefighters prepared, healthy, and ready to respond when you need us most.

As EMS week comes to end, today we remember Jon McCombs, not just for the uniform he wore or the calls he answered, but for the person he was behind it all. A teammate. A friend. Someone who showed up when people needed help most.

EMS is more than lights and sirens. It’s sacrifice. Missed holidays. Long nights. It’s carrying the weight of strangers’ worst days while still finding the strength to care deeply. Jon understood that kind of service, and he lived it every single day. There isn’t a day that passes where he isn’t missed by those who knew him, worked beside him, and loved him. His impact continues to live on in our stations, our crews, and our community.

During EMS Week, we honor every EMS professional who continues to serve and we hold close the memory of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
