Last week, our Alumni Committee, led by our very own Joe Gonzalez, surprised Anita with a special retirement celebration in her honor! ❤️

It was a wonderful opportunity to recognize Anita’s incredible dedication to The Children’s Home of Easton and the lasting impact she has made on generations of youth.

The committee also gave Anita a very special honor, naming her the first-ever Honorary Alumni Committee Member!

What a meaningful tribute from a group that holds such a special place in the heart of our organization. Thank you to Joe and the entire Alumni Committee for making this celebration so memorable! ❤️

A big THANK YOU to our friends at Easton Masonic Lodge #152 for treating our youth to a fun-filled fall adventure this weekend! 🍂🎃🚂

Our youth enjoyed a train ride, mine tour, corn maze, and pumpkin patch! It was a wonderful day filled with new experiences, laughter, and memories.

We are so grateful for community partners like who help create these special opportunities for the children and youth we serve! ❤️

🍎🌳 A new orchard is taking root at The Children’s Home of Easton!

A huge thank you to the students from Moravian University who chose to spend their Heritage Day giving back on our campus! This amazing group rolled up their sleeves and helped us plant the beginnings of a brand-new apple orchard, something our youth will be able to enjoy for years to come.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month.

Su***de affects individuals and families of all ages and backgrounds. In Pennsylvania, su***de was the 7th leading cause of death in 2024 — and among young people ages 10–14, it was the leading cause of death.

Behind every statistic is a person, a family, a friend, and a community. This month is an important reminder to check in with the people around us, take conversations about mental health seriously, and remind those who are struggling that help is available.

At Firmstone Family Services, a division of The Children’s Home of Easton, we provide behavioral health services for children, teens, adults, and families in our community. You don’t have to wait until things feel overwhelming to reach out for support.
