Help us say "no" to tax giveaways for wealthy developers in the name of our community!

Join us at Northampton County Council tomorrow, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. (669 Washington Street Easton PA 18042) as the council formally votes on whether or not the impending luxury apartments at the historic Dixie Cup factory receive a 20 year tax benefit--money that would otherwise benefit our community.

Tell Council to vote "no" on the TIF during public comment or help us pack the room!

Karl Marx was born today, May 5th, in 1818.

We had a great time commemorating May Day this weekend. The struggle for working class power is global and has a long history. Today that battle continues all around the world.

The rights working people have today shouldn't be taken for granted. From the streets in Chicago in 1886 to the picket lines of 2026, we see a continual battle for who will govern society: the working class who make the world run or a small group of capitalists.

As socialists, LVDSA at May Day answered that question: the working class.

Thank you to everyone who attended and for everyone who made yesterday's event possible. From those who help with food, art, music, speeches, games, or even just setting up tables, we had a great day because of all of you.
