Pool fence must be minimum 48 inches tall
Strict gap rules to prevent climbing
Gates must open OUTWARD from the pool

🛑 Before you build that fence... check the height! 🛑

Did you know that under IRC Section R105.2, fences 7 feet or less are typically exempt from building permits?

But don't grab your post-hole digger just yet. 🛠️ Local zoning laws often cap residential fences at 6 feet, and going over 7 feet means you'll need engineered drawings to prove it can handle the wind. 💨
