It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our Chief of Police Rochelle Ryan.
For more than 20 years, Chief Ryan devoted herself to serving the Stonehill community.
She was a calm and steady presence, soft-spoken yet strong. She always led with compassion, wisdom and grace.
Chief Ryan cared about us as people first and as officers second. She saw the person behind the badge and made sure we knew that we matter. She was more than our Chief—she was our mentor, our advocate, our confidant and, in so many ways, the glue that held us all together.
A proud alum of the Class of 2018, Chief Ryan embodied what it meant to serve the college she loved. Her impact reached far beyond her title. She shaped lives, strengthened our department and created a family among those she led.
Her quiet strength, kindness and unwavering dedication will stay with us. We are incredibly grateful for the years she gave to our community and for the countless ways she made each of us better.
Chief Ryan will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and never forgotten. May she rest peacefully. 💜
